2009 is finally here and it started with a bang… literally.
I slaved away all morning and made 2 PERFECT racks of ribs to take over to our friend’s house. As I was getting the dish out to transport the ribs I accidentally dropped 10 glass ice cream dishes out of the cabinet and they shattered… all over the ribs. The last time I was that close to crying was a family funeral. I was stunned! I stared at the ribs coated in glass for at least 3 minutes before I moved.
Oh well… thats life, and like everything else you have to push on and hope the next thing you do is better. Like my girlfriend told me … “Hopefully this is the worst thing that happens in 2009”.
Sorry to be such a downer….
The good news is that I found a buyer for a house that has been sitting around in my inventory for awhile. I will get to attend the funeral of those ribs with a FAT check in my hand. Hopefully my tears dont smudge the ink.
The other cool thing that happened today is I went to check my email and I had a TON of new people join http://myNextRehab.com !!! Everyone is starting to realize that the best way to make money is through real estate. Hopefully your profits in 2009 destroys 2008!!!!
Lessons learned on the 1st day of 2009….
- Never give up on a deal. There is a Buyer out there!!!!
- Real estate investing is going to be HOT in 2009!
- My girlfriend’s Ice Cream dishes do not taste good on Ribs
- I am capable of crying (over delicious meat)
